Aubreigh Wyatt, a vibrant student at Ocean Springs Middle School, tragically ended her own life at the age of 13 on September 4th, 2023. The relentless bullying she received since the 3rd grade led to her tragic demise. Sadly, Aubreigh is not alone in her struggle. According to a study by Yale University, victims of bullying are two to nine times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims. In her memory and in the hope of preventing this heartbreaking cycle from repeating, we are calling for the bullies, who contributed to her distressing state, to be held accountable. We believe this will send a strong message to students across the nation that bullying is unacceptable and has serious consequences.
