Demand Justice for Aubreigh Wyatt and Her Mother Against Years of Bullying

The Issue

Aubreigh Wyatt was a beautiful 13-year old who tragically took her own life on September 4th, 2023. Aubreigh was the subject of relentless bullying from fifth to eight grade which finally became unbearable. Even after her death, bullies are continuing their merciless torment, now targeted at her mourning mother, Heather Wyatt. This situation is not only profoundly unjust, but also deeply alarming, as it exposes the severe and life-threatening impact of bullying on young lives.

Bullying is far from a harmless rite of passage, as it contributes to higher rates of depression, anxiety, and even suicide among youth. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, suicide is the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34 in the United States, and bullying victims are between 2 to 9 times more likely to consider suicide than non-victims ("Impact of Bullying", NIMH). We believe that no child should ever have to experience what Aubreigh went through and no mother should have to bear witness to the unimaginable devastation that Heather is enduring.

This petition is to demand justice for Aubreigh and Heather Wyatt. It calls for a thorough investigation into the bullying that Aubreigh endured, as well as the ongoing harassment faced by Heather. We also demand stronger and immediate enforcement of anti-bullying measures in schools and communities nationwide.

Let Aubreigh's story serve as the urgent call to action it sadly represents. Join us in demanding justice for Aubreigh and her mother, Heather. Stand with us in fighting against bullying and its tragic consequences. Please, sign the petition.
