I am a survivor of a horrifying assault while being pregnant, an incident that not only caused me immense fear but also led to complications in my pregnancy. This brutal attack was carried out by Scott Peck, who didn't stop at harming me he had punched me in the head threw me into my car multiple times and damaged my car but also inflicted severe injuries on my partner,  knocking his teeth out in the process of protecting me and trying to stop the situation. This terrifying experience has left deep emotional scars on our family and has had lasting physical effects. He has been charged with assault occasionally bodily harm and has a charge updated to grievously bodily harm Hopefully he can be put in jail. He is a risk to our community he has a history of violent acts towards people in the community and people he is well known too, he is well known to police. He next court date is the 26th of July 2024 and has been moved to to a higher court (district court) as his charge has been upgraded to more serious offences.

This petition is not just about seeking justice for our family; it's about making sure no one else has to go through what we did. In Queensland, Australia alone, there are thousands of reported cases of domestic violence each year (source: Queensland Government Statistician's Office). Yet many perpetrators never face the consequences they deserve.

We're calling on the local authorities and jury to take action against Scott Peck for his violent actions that have caused us so much pain and suffering. We hope that this will send a strong message - violence needs to end now. He needs to be sent to jail for his actions . He is trying to use a possible defence for his actions old head injuries from playing football in his younger days. This defence doesn’t justify someone’s actions to assault a pregnant women and there partner.
