Our hearts are heavy with the tragic loss of 13-year-old Aubreigh Wyatt, who was driven to suicide by relentless bullying. This petition is deeply personal because we believe that no one should ever feel so hopeless that they see no other way out. It is a tragedy that Aubreigh felt this way, and it is unacceptable that those who caused her such pain remain unpunished.

Aubreigh's story is not an isolated incident. According to the CDC, suicide is the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34 in the United States (CDC, 2019). Furthermore, victims of bullying are more than twice as likely to consider suicide according to a Yale University study (Yale University, 2008).

We must demand justice for Aubreigh and all other victims of bullying. We call upon our local law enforcement agencies and school authorities to take immediate action against those responsible for her torment.
