Demand Justice and Safety for Billings’ Ducks After Cruel Blow Dart Incident

The Issue

Something is wrong in our community.

In Billings, ducks have been found injured after being shot with blow darts in public parks. These are peaceful animals living in places meant to be safe—for them and for us. Instead, they’re being hurt in ways that are both illegal and deeply cruel.

These parks are where families gather, where children learn to appreciate nature, and where wildlife should be able to exist without fear. Seeing animals suffer like this is upsetting—and it should never be ignored.

This isn’t just about ducks. It’s about the kind of community we want to be.

We’re calling on Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks and the Billings City Council to act quickly. Increase monitoring in these areas. Take reports seriously. And make sure anyone responsible is held accountable.

No animal should suffer like this in our shared spaces. No community should accept it.

If we stay silent, it continues. If we speak up, we can help stop it.

Sign this petition to stand up for these defenseless animals and help protect Billings’ wildlife before more harm is done.
