Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing in my capacity as a rabbi and spiritual mentor regarding [Elisabeta Tabita Moldovan], whom I have come to know through our community and religious connection. But now I reside in the USA in New York.
I understand that she is currently involved in legal proceedings concerning her children and that serious allegations have been made regarding her mental stability and fitness as a mother.
From my knowledge of her, her conduct, and her character, I wish to state the following clearly:
Elisabeta Tabita Moldovan presents as a caring, sincere, and devoted mother who has experienced significant emotional distress as a result of long-term separation from her children and repeated accusations made against her by former partners and their family members. In my interactions with her, I have not observed any behaviour that would indicate she is mentally unstable or unfit to care for her children.
On the contrary, I have observed a woman who is deeply pained by her situation, who expresses consistent love and concern for her children, and who is seeking lawful and appropriate means to restore her relationship with them.
It is also my understanding that, in relation to her youngest child, professional assessments have confirmed that she is a fit and capable parent, with no concerns raised regarding her ability to care for a child. This is consistent with the person I have come to know.
I am concerned that the repeated use of terms such as “crazy” and “unfit” by individuals in conflict with her may have contributed to emotional harm and may not be based on any professional evaluation.
In my opinion, Elisabeta Tabita Moldovan is a sincere mother who is trying to act in the best interests of her children and who deserves to be fairly heard without prejudice arising from unsupported allegations.
I offer this letter in support of her character and her efforts to restore her role as a mother in her children’s lives.
Yours faithfully,
Rabbi Yaron Reuven
