As a history educator and content creator, I have dedicated my life to ensuring that young people receive the knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary to navigate our complex world. However, I am increasingly alarmed by the inextricable impact of AI-generated content on impressionable minds. Every day, countless children are exposed to AI outputs that perpetuate harmful stereotypes, fueling bias, and discrimination. This content not only fosters racist attitudes but also undermines the self-esteem of countless victims, leading to a cycle of bullying and emotional distress.

AI technology has advanced rapidly, yet oversight and regulation are lagging far behind. A lack of guidelines and control means that AI algorithms can produce content that is racially biased or discriminatory. This is especially concerning in an educational context where young learners should be receiving unbiased and inclusive information.

Sign our petition to demand that tech developers, legislators, and educational institutions take immediate action to curtail the spread of racist AI-generated content.
