We from Clean Mysuru Foundation see lack of public awareness in people which has ignited in us a deep concern for the preservation and promotion of our rich cultural heritage and the cleanliness of our sacred pilgrimage sites. Specifically, we are concerned about the route from Kowdahalli to the Male Mahadeshwara temple, especially during the fervent February period of Shivarathri Padayatre at Male Mahadeshwara Hills. This route, beloved by many, unfortunately suffers from a lack of proper maintenance, severely affecting visitor's experiences and the overall sanctity of our temple.

We believe that it is crucial to have good drinking water facilities along this route, which is currently scarcely available. Lack of clean drinking water is not only a significant inconvenience for pilgrims but a severe health risk as well.

Crowd management is another area requiring urgent attention. The influx of devotees during the Jatre results in chaotic scenes, posing a safety concern that could be avoided with better organization.   Loud speakers along the route is a big concern.   Lot of fights happen between the devotees leading to scary scenes.  Police all along the route is needed to bring control in parking, food preparation, use of loud speakers and littering all along the route and also in and around Male Mahdeshwara hills.

Moreover, the improper disposal of waste materials and littering, particularly in adjacent forest areas, contributes to serious environmental implications like forest fires. We cannot continue to deface our natural treasures in this manner. We understand the challenges that accompany the influx of large crowds, but with an appropriate system in place for waste disposal and littering, these can be managed effectively.  Even many devotees go for open defecation leading to health issues in the area.   Mobile toilets are needed all along to stop this activity.  

We, hereby, request the Male Mahadeshwara Administration to take steps towards maintaining cleanliness, proper waste disposal and caring for our beloved pilgrimage route from Kowdahalli to the Male Mahadeshwara temple. We believe that such improvements will not only take our cherished traditions forward in a clean and sustainable manner but will also enhance the pilgrimage experience for numerous devotees visiting each year.

Please sign this petition to join us in urging the Male Mahadeshwara Administration to prioritize effective facility management and cleanliness on this sacred trail.

 

ಕ್ಲೀನ್ ಮೈಸೂರು ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್ ನಮ್ಮ ಶ್ರೀಮಂತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಪರಂಪರೆಯ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಆಳವಾದ ಕಾಳಜಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿದೆ. 

ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ತಿಂಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಡೆಯುವ ಶಿವರಾತ್ರಿ ಪಾದಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಕೌಡಹಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಮಲೆ ಮಹದೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗುವ ಮಾರ್ಗದುದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ  ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕಾಳಜಿ ವಹಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಅನೇಕರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಿಯವಾದ ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗವು ದುರದೃಷ್ಟವಶಾತ್ ಸರಿಯಾದ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ಕೊರತೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಇದು ಯತ್ರಾರ್ತಿಗಳ  ಮೇಲೆ ಮತ್ತು ನಮ್ಮ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಪಾವಿತ್ರ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಶುದ್ಧವಾದ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರಿನ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲ.  ನೀರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾನೀಯ ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಾಟಲಿಗಳನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲೆಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಸೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.  ಇದು ಪರಿಸರದ ಮೇಲೆ ತೀವ್ರ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತಿದೆ.  

ಜನಸಂದಣಿಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಕಡೆ ಗಮನ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಜಾತ್ರೆಯ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಕ್ತರ ಒಳಹರಿವು ಅಸ್ತವ್ಯಸ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.  ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅನಾಹುತಗಳನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುರಕ್ಷತಾ ಕಾಳಜಿಯನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ, ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ಅನುಚಿತ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಸವನ್ನು, ವಿಶೇಷವಾಗಿ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಕಾಡಿನ ಬೆಂಕಿಯಂತಹ ಗಂಭೀರ ಪರಿಸರ ಪರಿಣಾಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ನಮ್ಮ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪತ್ತನ್ನು ಹಾಳುಮಾಡುವುದನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ದೊಡ್ಡ ಜನಸಂದಣಿಯಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ನಾವು ಅರ್ಥಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಆದರೆ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕಸ ಹಾಕಲು ಸೂಕ್ತವಾದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದರೆ, ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಬಹುದು.  ಅತೀ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಧ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕಗಳ ಅಬ್ಬರದ ಕಡೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು.

ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ, ಸರಿಯಾದ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಿಲೇವಾರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಕೌಡಹಳ್ಳಿಯಿಂದ ಮಲೆ ಮಹದೇಶ್ವರ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನಕ್ಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಯಾತ್ರಾ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವತ್ತ ಮಲೆ ಮಹದೇಶ್ವರ ಆಡಳಿತವು ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂದು ನಾವು ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ವಿನಂತಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಅಂತಹ ಸುಧಾರಣೆಗಳು ನಾವು ಪಾಲಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಸಂಪ್ರದಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛ ಮತ್ತು ಸುಸ್ಥಿರ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಂಡೊಯ್ಯುವುದಲ್ಲದೆ, ಪ್ರತಿ ವರ್ಷ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ ಹಲವಾರು ಭಕ್ತರಿಗೆ ತೀರ್ಥಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಅನುಭವವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತವೆ ಎಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಈ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆಗೆ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ನೀಡುವಂತೆ ಮಲೆ ಮಹದೇಶ್ವರ ಆಡಳಿತವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಲು ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಈ ಅರ್ಜಿಗೆ ಸಹಿ ಮಾಡಿ.
