My name is Georgie reed, and I am a resident of roundswell. I find myself in a dire situation, living in constant distress due to a nightmare neighbour, and I am desperately seeking support for my urgent plea to be relocated from our current flat. This is not just my story; it is the painful reality that my children and I face every single day.

Living in this environment has become unbearable. Our mental health is deteriorating from the relentless disturbances caused by the neighbour, which include partying for days on end,banging on our ceilings, shouting, fighting, slamming doors over and over again which shakes our whole flat, also shouting in the hallways and playing music till 6am. I also have drunk people screaming at me and going for me in front of my children . Theres no break in any of it and its like im being punished even more for not putting up with it . We are trapped inside a tiny flat due to fear of what they might do. These incidences have not only disrupted our peace but have continuously subjected us to stress and anxiety, severely affecting my children's well-being and mine.

I have reached out to local authorities, including local councils and housing agencies, but despite my persistent efforts, there has been no resolution. I feel trapped in a situation where I have exhausted my ability to secure a safe and healthy environment for my family, and yet we remain ignored and unheard.

Immediate relocation will not only restore peace to our household but also significantly improve our quality of life and mental health. It is crucial that housing authorities reassess our situation with urgency and provide us with a viable alternative housing situation away from this harmful environment.

I am calling on North devon district council and whoever else apppropriate to prioritize our case and offer us the safety and security that every family deserves. It’s essential for authorities to implement structured support and expedited relocation policies for residents like us who are facing such unpredictable and volatile situations.

My children have special needs and they are missing out on education due to being too tired to attend school my eldest has to be up and on a taxi for an hour before he even gets to his special school so for him to be kept up all night is just not okay and my youngest has missed so many days due to being so tired , he already has a special need and this has really really effected him to the point he's a different child and its heart breaking to see . Both my children are disregulated and scared and they do not deserve to live like this anymore.  My mental health is also suffering badly, I feel like i can't keep my family safe and happy and the things that does to my head daily is unbearable , my emotions are everywhere.  The council said 'the only way they will move us is if the police ask them to' which is not an option.
