I am a dedicated member of our university community and am disheartened to share the ongoing discriminatory and abusive behavior by a faculty member at the University of South Dakota, KC Santosh. Mr. Santosh has shown an alarming lack of respect and fairness towards his colleagues, students, and disabled persons. His actions include openly mocking faculty members for their disabilities and making racially insensitive comments about Indian students. Furthermore, he extends false promises of Graduate Assistantships and Scholarships, putting numerous students in severe financial hardships when coming to the US. This unethical behavior creates a hostile educational environment and poses severe emotional and financial challenges to the victims.

Regrettably, numerous instances of this conduct have been noted, creating an unacceptable pattern rather than isolated incidents. It is time to hold those in positions of power accountable for their actions. The university's mission is to foster an environment promoting academic excellence, inclusivity, and respect for diversity. The actions of Mr. Santosh starkly contrast these objectives.

Hence, we urge the University of South Dakota to take immediate action to dismiss Mr. Santosh based on his discriminatory and abusive behavior towards students and fellow faculty members. Doing so would protect and uphold the principles cherished by our institution and its community.
