Demand Immediate & Compulsory Refunds from Online Food Companies for Incorrect Deliveries

The Issue

ONLINE AND MOBILE FOOD delivery companies should NOT be refusing to refund genuine claims when their team mess up. They are ignoring the Consumer Rights act 2015, and are implying that in many cases the genuine claim is dishonest.

It's time this sector took responsibility and deliver a fair and genuine service.

Like many of you, I have experienced the frustration of incorrect delivery orders from online food companies like Just Eat and Uber Eats. Even in the instances when the mishap was not on my end, I faced the disappointments of unresolved claims and the unsatisfactory reply, "it's against our policy to refund."

The situation became personal when my partner received someone else's order. When we reached out for resolution from the company, we were denied a refund and told that circumstances did not necessitate one, boldly ignoring our rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (CRA 2015). Many among us have encountered similar instances of being unfairly refused refunds.

Moreover, countless consumers face such challenges with these companies daily. It's important to recall that the vast majority, approximately 99.5%, are honest consumers who only claim when there have been legitimate issues with their orders.

These companies' refusal to provide refunds directly contravenes the Consumer Rights Act and disrespects their customers. It's time for these businesses to uphold consumer rights, support their community, and revise their refund policies to reflect honesty and integrity. Perhaps, with personalised consequences for delivery issues, service quality might see an overall improvement.

It's time we, the public, stand up against such practices that leave us out of pocket unjustly. Hence, I call upon you to sign this petition. Let's demand an immediate and compulsory refund policy from online and mobile food ordering companies for incorrect or unfulfilled deliveries. Let us not be silenced by "no refunds" anymore.
