I am a resident of Bruce County, ON, Canada, deeply moved by the ongoing crisis in Gaza. The issue has become personal to me as over 30 Members of Parliament have called for an immediate ceasefire. Yet, despite these calls, the violence continues unabated.

The children are the most vulnerable victims of this conflict. According to UNICEF reports, more than 23 000  have been killed 70% are woman and children. with more than 60 000 thousands  injured since the war began on oct 7th (source: UNICEF). This is not just a statistic; these are young lives cut short and futures destroyed.

In addition to the immediate danger posed by violence, there is also a long-term impact on their mental health. As per Save The Children organization's report from 2020 (source: Save The Children), over half of Gazan children already suffer from emotional distress and trauma due to previous conflicts.

Furthermore, families are being torn apart by this conflict. Many parents live in constant fear that they may never see their children again or be able to provide them with safety and security they deserve.

This petition seeks your support in demanding our government join those MPs who have called for an immediate ceasefire. We must urge them to use their influence internationally to protect innocent lives and help reunite families torn apart by this devastating conflict.
