As someone with grandparents who rely on Social Security, this issue is of profound personal significance. For decades, my family, like millions of others across the country, have paid into Social Security. It's not just a fund; it's a promise of security for our older generations, a promise that they can lead normal everyday lives.

However, under the Trump/Musk administration, this vital right is under threat. Millions like me have contributed to the Social Security system throughout our working lives in good faith, with trust in our government. If the government decides to remove this critical benefit, it should likewise fairly reimburse all that hard-working citizens have contributed plus interest. 

Social Security contributes significant sustenance to our aging population. As per the Social Security Administration, 61% of elderly beneficiaries receive over half of their income from Social Security. We cannot leave our elderly population economically vulnerable by taking away this primary source of income without providing a just and full reimbursement plus interest. 

We call on the federal government to honor its compact with hardworking American citizens. If Social Security is eliminated, we demand full reimbursement plus interest of all that citizens have paid into it over their careers.
