Demand Frank Flowers Be Held Accountable For Domestic Violence Crimes

Demand Frank Flowers Be Held Accountable For Domestic Violence Crimes
The Issue
In July 2023, local Poughkeepsie man Frank Flowers assaulted his ex-girlfriend, slamming her head onto the floor and restricting her airway, and endangering their child by tackling her while she was holding the child in her home in Connecticut. Frank Flowers was originally charged with several felonies: first-degree burglary, violating a family violence protective order, first-degree unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a child…along with several misdemeanors. In October 2024, the State Attorney for Litchfield County in Connecticut gave Frank Flowers an Alford Plea deal for two counts of first-degree criminal trespass. The punishment was a conditional discharge, NOT probation, where Frank Flowers could not engage in any criminal behavior for two years. On December 9th, 2025, Frank Flowers physically assaulted his new partner and endangered their child in Poughkeepsie. Frank Flowers was charged with misdemeanor charges of assault, criminal obstruction of breathing, and endangering the welfare of a child.
On December 15th, 2025 at the Town of Poughkeepsie Court, Judge Steven Klein released Frank Flowers from electrical monitoring, citing that it was “too restrictive”.
Frank Flowers is a prominent public figure with many friends and family in powerful, political positions. Frank Flowers has also leveraged his involvement with charities to try to discredit the charges of domestic violence made against him.
Litchfield County State Attorney in Connecticut, David Shannon has announced that he will ONLY pursue charges against Frank Flowers for violating the terms of his conditional discharge if and when Flowers is CONVICTED in New York for Domestic Violence.
We believe these TWO Domestic Violence survivors and do not want to see Frank Flowers escape accountability due to his public standing and political connections. We believe that no one should be above the law.
These TWO assaults are not the only charges that Frank Flowers has been arrested for. The following is his arrest record.

We urge Dutchess County District Attorney and Litchfield County State Attorney to hold Frank Flowers accountable for his dangerous actions.
On January 6th, 2026, Frank Flowers was indicted by a grand jury to have his misdemeanors upgraded to a felony, which caused his case to be taken out of Town of Poughkeepsie Court and transferred to Dutchess County Court.
On January 12th, 2026, Frank Flowers was remanded at $10,000 cash bail by Judge Jessica Siegel and changed from daily phone check ins with probation to once a week physical check ins with probation. After posting bail, Frank Flowers was re-arrested for an outstanding warrant in Connecticut for violating the restraining order with the first victim in October 2025. Frank Flowers is currently out on bail.
On February 17th, 2026, the Dutchess County DA offered Frank Flowers a plea deal to plead guilty to strangulation of the second degree to then receive 5 years in a state prison and 3 years post release supervision, along with two full stay away orders of protection from his two victims and a waiver of appeal.
Frank Flowers next court date is Tuesday, April 14th at 9:30 am at the Dutchess County Court at 10 Market Street, Poughkeepsie, NY. Wear purple and come PEACEFULLY protest in front of the court at 9:30 am, showing that we want justice.
Women and children should NOT have to die before we enforce consequences on abusers. These two assaults are the warning signs that Frank Flower’s violence towards women will only escalate.
