As someone deeply invested in the fight against antisemitism, the airing of a commercial by Kanye West during the Superbowl by Fox Broadcasting has compelled me to act. Known for his antisemitic tendencies, Kanye uses his platform to further promote this unacceptable behavior. What makes this situation more distressing is that he advertised a site that is selling antisemitic clothing. It's a blatant disregard for the sensitivities of Jewish communities, and an act Fox decided to be part of by airing the commercial.

Antisemitism is a continuing problem globally. In 2019, antisemitic hate crimes reached its highest rate in the U.S. since 1991. This is a dangerous incitement of hate, which musicians like Kanye and broadcasting corporations like Fox should not perpetuate. Fox Broadcasting knew about Kanye's public record and the content of his commercial, yet chose to air it. 

We cannot let powerful entities fuel harmful stereotypes. We demand Fox Broadcasting issue an apology for showing the commercial and implement better practices to ensure this doesn't happen again.
