Demand for Unbiased Implementation of Bylaws in Coronation, Alberta
The Issue
A bylaw officer in Coronation, Alberta Continue's to look the other way for some residents and at the same time harass people who haven't done anything wrong.
the bylaw officer imposed a heavy $2500 fine on Ryan's elderly parents, following an incident in which ryans dogs accidentally escaped from the yard. This instance, however, is not an isolated event. This particular officer has a track record of acting unlawfully and corruptly. This corruption directly contradicts the standards in place for public officials within the Canadian law enforcement system.
In Canada, bylaw officers' roles are to serve the community by enforcing municipal bylaws in a fair and equitable manner. The penalties issued by these officers should reflect the severity and frequency of infringements. Yet, placing a $2500 fine and threatening the next one to be $5000 on elderly citizens for theyre adult son and his girlfriends dogs getting out of the yard when they don't even live on the same property ; calls into question the officer’s impartiality and sense of justice.
Many residents are unhappy with the bylaw officer and how she chooses to treat people in our community, there are to many incidents to count that she has let us down.
so let's do something about it people let's get this crooked woman without a job title that she can use to bully people with
Coronation deserves better. Our community deserves bylaw enforcement that humbly respects the law and works in the best interests of our residents. We urge the local government to review the practices of our current bylaw officer and enact changes to prevent further examples of misconduct. Sign this petition to demand a fair and just handling of bylaws in Coronation, Alberta.
