The Issue

Target: FIFA Refereeing Committee and President Gianni Infantino:

on June 13, 2026, the Haitian National Team played Scotland in their opening match of the FIFA World Cup at Boston Stadium.  While both teams fought hard, the match was deeply marred by unacceptable and highly inconsistent refereeing that unfairly penalized Haiti.  Head referee Mustapha Ghorbal and the VAR team failed to call multiple critical fouls committed by Scotland.  These missed calls directly impacted the flow and final outcome of the match.  Football fans and Haitian Supporters (including ME) are demanding accountability for the following incidents:

•Ignored Discipline: Multiple blatant fouls and yellow-card offenses by Scottish players were completely ignored.

•Missed Penalty Actions: clear handball and penalty incidents in the box were overlooked, denying Haiti crucial scoring opportunities.

•Dangerous Play:  Dangerous tackle late in the game that warranted a red card was dismissed without proper review.

•Failure of VAR:  Despite clear evidence on the match broadcast the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) System was not utilized to correct these obvious errors.

Allowing unpunished dangerous play and biased officiating sets a dangerous precedent for the integrity of the World, specifically:

•Targeting of Frantzdy Pierrot, our leading striker was consistently held, shoved and brought down inside the penalty area by Scottish center-backs, denying clear scoring opportunities without VAR intervention.

•Dangerous tackles on Ruben Providence.  He was subjected to repeated cynical tactical fouls on the wing to disrupt his counter-attacks, which should have resulted in early bookings for Scotland.

•Late Game Endangerment:  in the final minutes of the match, a highly dangerous tackle was committed against the Haitian, this attack only resulted in a late card for Kenny McLean.  This clearly risked player life and warranted a full VAR RED-CARD review.

We demand that the FIFA refereeing committee launch an immediate, transparent review of the officiating from this match and issue a formal assessment.  HAITIAN PLAYERS and FANS DESERVE a FAIR, UNBIASED PLAYING FIELD.
