Thanks to your incredible support, an official federal review has been initiated. While I have no further details to share at this time, please know: this movement does not stop here.
For two years, I pleaded with Georgia’s elected officials and local, state and federal authorities for help. The door to federal intervention remained shut until 1,700+ voices helped crack it open.
Every single signature on this petition matters!
We are still pushing for a full and fair federal investigation – not a check-the-box review or superficial gesture, but a real pursuit of justice. Our fight remains active, purposeful and rooted in truth and integrity.
Daisy Alford’s case is not isolated. Across Georgia, crimes against elderly and disabled residents are too often ignored, trivialized, misclassified, or even mocked by public safety officials and the judicial system.
Georgia has 159 counties – the second most in the United States. In places like Paulding County, offenders can repeatedly and substantially harm elderly and disabled individuals with impunity. What happened to my mother could happen to any elderly or disabled person in Georgia, even someone you love.
This fight is bigger than one family. We are working toward a future where Elder Justice is both a moral imperative and a legal right upheld by the rule of law, not dictated by political influence.
Real change begins when ordinary people – who believe in justice, human dignity and fairness – stand together and demand better for our most vulnerable neighbors across all 159 counties in Georgia.
We’re closing in on 2,000 petition signatures!
Please keep sharing the petition and updates on social media, by text, through emails, and other channels. Every share matters! Your support is helping to turn our pain into purpose and the inaction of Georgia's officials into public accountability. #Justice4DaisyAlford
