The Issue

For over a year, I have dedicated my time, money, and energy to fostering a positive, supportive, and uplifting community on Whatnot. Operating under the name Rickey315, I have achieved nearly 40,000 followers, completed over 20,000 successful sales, consistently received five-star reviews, ensured 1-day shipping, and spent more than $3 million supporting sellers on the platform since 2024. My mission is simple: to spread kindness, boost others, and maintain the strength of the Whatnot community. I actively support new and struggling sellers to help them find motivation, promote other shows, and tip generously to lift others up. My streams focus on positivity, fun, and fairness, ensuring they never cause harm. Despite these efforts, I have become the target of unjustified violations and suspensions. It is evident that someone, or multiple accounts operated by the same individual, is falsely reporting me to damage my reputation and livelihood. I am aware when corrections are needed, such as the use of the term "Random" in titles. Nonetheless, this does not justify the extreme actions taken against me. I have never received proper warnings for “Title” violations, have been suspended for minor or unexplained reasons, and most recently, accused of "evasion" due to activities on another account that wasn't mine. The truth is, I asked an employee to utilize my payment method to purchase items needed for future shows during my suspension. That is all. I was not logged in, streaming, or operating any account at the time. This situation is not only unjust and demoralizing for me but also for others who see someone striving to build positivity being repeatedly knocked down. I have worked tirelessly to create a safe, enjoyable environment for both buyers and sellers. This petition is for everyone who has laughed, smiled, and shared positive vibes with me during my journey. I urge Whatnot's Trust & Safety team to: 1. Conduct a thorough investigation into the repeated reports against me to identify any targeted harassment or coordinated abuse. 2. Reevaluate the enforcement actions against my account with full transparency. 3. Acknowledge my contributions to the Whatnot community and the positive impact I continue to make daily. I am not asking for special treatment, only fairness. I want Whatnot to consider the years of goodwill I have built and end this pattern of unnecessary punishment. If you believe in fairness, integrity, and positivity within our Whatnot community, please sign this petition. Your support signifies we stand together against unnecessary targeting, advocating for transparency, respect, and justice. Let us strive to make Whatnot a platform where creators lift each other up, not tear each other down. Stand with me, Rickey315, a devoted creator, seller, and community builder. Update: What if this happened to someone trying to feed their family? Imagine being a full-time seller who depends on Whatnot to pay bills and feed your family and then one day, without warning or proof, you’re accused of a violation and instantly penalized. No explanation. No appeal. No chance to defend yourself. What if this happened to a new seller with no following or community support? They’d be gone before they even had a voice, erased because of a false accusation that Whatnot never investigated. There has to be transparency. Sellers deserve to know who is reporting them and why. If reports were tied to real names, it would discourage false claims and reduce the flood of malicious or competitive reports that Whatnot’s team wastes time sorting through. Honest people wouldn’t hesitate to stand behind a real report and those accused would finally have a chance to participate in their own defense. It’s time for Whatnot to show accountability and integrity. The seller community deserves due process, transparency, and fair communication(not hidden punishments and silence).
