Demand Fairness for Heritage Landing Owners

Demand Fairness for Heritage Landing Owners
The Issue
As a dedicated homeowner in the Heritage Landing community aka Saint Johns Six Mile Creek West Property Owners Association in Saint Augustine, Florida, I am deeply concerned about the financial responsibilities unfairly imposed upon residents by an abandoned, private sub association called Legacy at Heritage Landing Homeowners Association. With private property within our Legacy enclave, it feels unjust that those who derive no direct benefit from these assets are burdened with the associated costs. The Saint Johns Six Mile Creek West Property Owners Association (POA) belongs to us homeowners and we need to take it back - demanding fairness, transparency, and accountability.
The crux of the issue lies in indiscriminate allocation of expenses, where costs tied to private property maintenance and upgrades should naturally be the responsibility of those residing within the private, gated sub association called Legacy at Heritage Landing itself. Homeowners who live outside the gates within the Saint Johns Six Mile Creek West Property Owners Association should not bear the financial strain for amenities they do not utilize nor benefit from.
To remedy this, a clear and actionable solution is necessary: separate all expenses specifically for private property in Legacy at Heritage Landing and allocate them solely to the homeowners within that gated neighborhood. This approach ensures equitable distribution of expenses and acknowledges the unique structure of our community. But because they dissolved their Articles of incorporation, they abandoned such property and left the greater Saint Johns Six Mile Creek West Property Owners Association to manage their obligations on their behalf.
It is crucial that the community comes together to demand these changes. Let us ensure that our neighborhood operates on principles of fairness, transparency, and accountability, safeguarding the interests of every homeowner.
Sign this petition to urge our Saint Johns Six Mile Creek West Property Owners Association for a reallocation of expenses immediately. Together, we can protect the integrity and financial equity of our community in Saint Augustine, Florida.
