The Issue

Buying a premium laptop should provide peace of mind—not months of repeated repairs for the same recurring issue.

This petition has been created to demand fair warranty practices from ASUS India for customers whose laptops continue to suffer from the same hardware defects despite multiple warranty repairs.

Many customers invest over ₹1 lakh in ASUS premium laptops expecting long-term reliability. Instead, some have found themselves caught in an endless cycle of service centre visits, repeated RMAs, part replacements, and the same problem returning again.

One documented case behind this petition involved:

Purchase of a premium ASUS ROG laptop worth ₹1,36,200

Device developing a critical hardware issue while under warranty

Three RMAs within one month

A complete motherboard replacement

Multiple visits to an authorised ASUS service centre

The same defect continuing despite repeated repairs

Significant academic and personal disruption because the laptop could not be reliably used

Despite repeated repair failures, the customer was informed that ASUS generally does not provide replacements after the initial Dead on Arrival (DOA) period and instead continues with further repair attempts.

This raises an important question:

If repeated warranty repairs fail to permanently resolve the same defect, should customers simply continue accepting repairs indefinitely?

Many customers purchase premium laptops because they expect them to last for years.

If a device continues failing while still under warranty, customers naturally worry about what will happen after the warranty expires. A temporary repair that fails again after the warranty period could leave customers facing substantial repair costs on a device that has already demonstrated recurring issues.

This petition is not about one person alone.

Since this case was shared publicly, numerous individuals have reached out claiming they experienced similar situations involving repeated repairs, recurring defects, and difficulty obtaining replacements. While every individual case is different and should be evaluated on its own merits, these experiences suggest that clearer and fairer warranty practices would benefit consumers.

We request ASUS India to:

Establish a transparent policy for handling products with recurring hardware defects.

Consider replacements where repeated warranty repairs fail to permanently resolve the same issue.

Evaluate each recurring-defect case on its individual facts rather than relying solely on the initial DOA period.

Improve customer communication and escalation procedures for unresolved warranty cases.

Restore customer confidence by providing fair and lasting solutions instead of repeated temporary repairs.

Consumers purchase premium products because they expect premium quality and dependable after-sales support.

A warranty should provide confidence that recurring defects will be resolved fairly—not require customers to repeatedly return the same product for repair without a lasting solution.

If you believe companies should stand behind their products and provide fair resolutions when repeated repairs fail, please sign this petition and share it.

Together, we can encourage better warranty practices, greater accountability, and stronger consumer protection for everyone.
