Like many parents, I take joy in watching my child play sports, especially football. My son plays for the Liberty Bell (LBYO) little league football team, ages 5-6. Yet, I am deeply concerned about the conduct and fairness of games refereed by a tall gentleman name Steve (last name TBD). Steve is buddies with Mike O'Neil Sr., who is an authority in the league and Mike O'Neil Jr., who coaches the Fox Rok 5-6yr old team. Mike O’Neil Jr.’s son plays on the 5-6yr old team. They are all in cahoots to ensure the victory of the Fox Rok team.

We twice lost games against the Fox Rok Little League football team where, we strongly believe, unfair calls were made.

Witnessed by both parents and coaches from our team and beyond, blatant errors in Steve’s refereeing caused us to retract touchdowns. These mistakes resulted in our team's defeat in the playoff game sat. 11/9/24. It's disheartening for young athletes and their families to have their efforts undermined by questionable officiating.

We are not looking for favors or special treatment. All we ask is for fairness, and for the referees to play their part in ensuring every player's hard work and talent is valued and recognized. We believe that sporting competitions should embody integrity and equality, qualities children must learn and hold dearly in life.

We have video proof of these incidences which we are willing to present when necessary. It's our duty as parents and mentors to ensure our children are treated fairly and that their experiences in these formative years are positive and beneficial to their growth.

We urge the NESAC and relevant authorities to investigate these incidents and ensure that all future matches are refereed with fairness and transparency. Please sign this petition to demand fair refereeing in NESAC Little League football matches.
