Demand fair reevaluation of CBSE Class 12 OSM results
The Issue
Students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 examinations are in distress due to what appears to be a grave error in the evaluation of OSM results. Many students, including myself, have received unusually low marks that do not reflect our academic performance throughout our schooling years. This unexpected outcome is not only demoralizing but has also led to severe stress, anxiety, and depression among students who were counting on these results for their future endeavors.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a reputed national level board of education in India, yet this incidence highlights glaring issues in the evaluation process that need immediate attention. Students and parents have raised complaints, but CBSE seems to be turning a deaf ear, leaving us in a state of helplessness. We demand that CBSE addresses this issue urgently and takes full responsibility for the blunder.
The critical impact of these results on students’ careers cannot be overstated. Whether applying for higher education or job opportunities, the marks scored in these exams significantly affect the paths students can pursue. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the evaluation is fair, precise, and transparent.
We propose the following solutions to rectify this situation:
1. Immediate reevaluation of the answer sheets of those students who have scored unusually low compared to their past academic records.
2. Transparency in the reevaluation process, including allowing students to view their checked answer scripts.
3. Formation of a committee to oversee the reevaluation process and handle related grievances.
Our students deserve a fair chance at their future, and the current mishandling of exam evaluations is robbing them of this opportunity. Let's stand together to demand accountability and action from CBSE to ensure that every student receives the marks they truly deserve.
Please sign this petition to urge CBSE to act now and address this evaluation crisis.
