My own voice and my business  have been silenced on Meta platforms through censorship, defamation, and shadowbanning. As a founder, I aimed to empower people through grounding and holistic wellness. Yet, instead of being supported, I’ve seen my posts hidden, my reach restricted, and my work unfairly diminished. This hasn’t just hurt my business, it has blocked money, opportunities, and connections that should have been flowing freely.

The issues I face aren't mine alone but reflect a systemic problem affecting countless users of Meta’s platforms. In today's digital age, social media is a vital tool for personal expression and commercial growth. However, the lack of transparency, inconsistent rule enforcement, and unfair practices undermine its potential and violate users' rights.

We demand transparency in content moderation, where clear explanations are provided for why posts or accounts are removed or restricted, ensuring consistent rule application. Users must have the right to a fair and effective appeals process with robust human oversight to avoid erroneous or biased decisions.

Moreover, the practice of shadowbanning, where content is limited in its reach without the user's knowledge, must come to an end. Users deserve notification and clear reasoning when their content faces such restrictions, allowing them an opportunity to address or contest the reasons given.

Finally, Meta must uphold the principle of equal treatment for all voices. Rules should apply consistently to everyone, regardless of political, cultural, or personal views. This ensures a fair and balanced platform where diversity of thought is celebrated and not suppressed.
