Living in the small community of Dutch Hollow Village, we've grown to know it as a place we call home. But for my husband and I, and many others, it's becoming a place of constant unfairness and dread due to the unfair fines and harassment, most of which is from the property manager.

Many residents have been disproportionately burdened with fines that are not consistently applied to everyone in our mobile home park. One glaring issue is that of dog poop in the yards. Some people don't own dogs, yet they get charged for poo found in their yard. This is patently unfair and needs urgent redress.

Even more, there's a lack of understanding and compassion towards the elderly and those who have a fixed income who are unable to do their own yard work. It is essential for the management to comprehend the diverse situations of residents rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach to fines or yard upkeep.

So, we stand together in calling on Dutch Hollow Village to review its fining system and stop the unequal treatment of its community members. We also urge them to cease the targeting and harassment of elderly residents and consider implementing a system that takes into account the diverse circumstances and abilities of residents.

This shift in approach not only serves the interest of fairness but will help foster a more harmonious community for all to enjoy.
