I am an Uber driver and I speak from a place of first-hand experience. The current corporate policies and procedures are unjust, with Uber neglecting its obligations to us, who serve on the frontlines of this operation. Uber gives us trips that are underpaid and when we request a review for the journey fare, they choose not to implement such a review. Our revenues are being compromised and we are not able to voice our concerns in person due to the closures of Uber's agencies.

We are using our personal cars, paying for gas, and putting in tireless effort to provide Uber's valued service to millions of people. It is high time our remuneration and treatment reflect this dedication. According to a 2018 study by the Economic Policy Institute, Uber drivers take home an average of $9.21 per hour, considering vehicle expenses, making it below the minimum wage in many states (Source: Economic Policy Institute, 2018).

This mistreatment of drivers is unjust and requires urgent redress. The plight of Uber drivers should no longer be sidestepped, and everyone who respects the labor and dedication of these drivers should make a stand. The time is now, for Uber to stop exploiting its drivers and fulfill its responsibilities with reasonable pay and adequate review mechanisms. Demand fair treatment and pay for Uber drivers.
