The Issue

Every day, employees at Vetcor dedicate themselves to taking care of the health and well-being of beloved pets and animals. As veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff, we work tirelessly because we are passionate about our field and the lives we impact. Despite our commitment and hard work, Vetcor, a company that many of us believed cared about its employees, is falling short of meeting even our basic employment rights.

We are experiencing repeated cuts to our working hours, limiting our ability to earn a living wage. In a field where many already struggle financially, this reduction in hours not only affects our wallets but also hinders our ability to provide exceptional care to our patients. Additionally, the refusal to accommodate overtime when our hospitals require it is contrary to both our needs and the operational necessities of our jobs.

Furthermore, the current restrictive policies regarding the use of Paid Time Off (PTO) makes it impossible for us to use the benefits we have rightfully earned. Workplace PTO policies should permit employees to utilize their vacation and leave time as they see fit, without unnecessary restrictions or retribution.

Vetcor, a company that professes to care for animals, must also extend that care to its human employees. Fair compensation, including overtime pay and the freedom to use PTO, is not just an employee wish; it's a right and a necessity for a healthy and productive work environment.

By taking action to address these concerns, Vetcor can improve employee morale, increase productivity, and sustain the dedication and passion their staff have for the veterinary field.

Join us in demanding that Vetcor respect and fulfill its obligations to its employees. Let’s tell Vetcor that it must commit to fair labor practices, allowing us to work the hours needed and to use our PTO freely. Sign this petition to support hard-working vet techs, assistants, and others whose commitment to animal care deserves to be matched by Vetcor’s commitment to its staff.
