The Mohawk-Trail-Hawlemont Regional School District is facing an unprecedented funding crisis that jeopardizes the educational opportunities of our children. Despite tireless efforts to secure adequate funding, our schools have repeatedly been denied the resources they desperately need. We struggle to carry a decent amount of teachers and often find ourselves letting go of some of our teachers every year. This year we let go some Special Eduaction teachers which affects some of our students.

The lack of support from the state government has forced our district to cut essential programs and resources, hindering the quality of education our children receive. This inequality not only impacts their current learning but will also have long-lasting repercussions on their future prospects, college readiness, and career opportunities.

The imbalance in funding is more than just a numerical deficit; it is a profound injustice that threatens the future of our community's youth. They have the right to a well-rounded education that includes access to AP courses, extracurricular activities, and the necessary support to excel academically.
