My name is Randy Guyette, and my family and I experienced first-hand the crippling impact of Eversource's hefty price increases. Like many Massachusetts residents, our monthly bill has jumped over $300 due to their recent rate hikes. Many of us struggle to keep our houses above freezing in the winter months, sacrificing other necessities to meet Eversource's escalating costs.

Eversource, a utility company that serves numerous states, has been unfairly monopolizing the energy sector. Their business practices result in unprecedented profits while their customers, especially those in Massachusetts and surrounding states, languish from the pressure of unaffordable delivery fees.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the cost of utilities has seen a remarkable surge in recent years. This trend is unsustainable for the average American household, barely keeping up with the rising cost of living. The U.S Energy Information Administration projects further increases in energy cost - a concerning forecast for many like us who are already stretched thin.

We urge Eversource, Governor Healy, The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities, and all law makers to reconsider its pricing, make delivery charges affordable, and cease monopolizing practices. Their actions have a profound impact on the communities served, and it is high time for them to partake in more ethical and compassionate practices. We, the residents of Massachusetts and other states where Eversource operates, deserve better.
