It is important that we, as a society, present unbiased perspectives and maintain respect for all individuals within our educational institutions. In this regard, we appeal to have Mason high school implement the promotion or endorsement of any occupation regime, especially during an active slaughter and ethnic cleansing of a race of people , should not be tolerated within our educational environment let alone a newspaper that is passed out to every student on Friday.It goes against the principles of respect, equality, and fairness.

Our MSA was harassed and intimidated last year for a solidarity instagram post for our martyred family and friends in Palestine. Due to complaints by Zionist faculty and students we were forced to remove our dua and statement and lectured about how we can’t be “political”. Condemning genocide and grieving our loved ones is not political. 

Therefore, the presence of ads supporting the Israeli occupation regime on school grounds is not only political but also has the potential to foster an environment that is uncomfortable and traumatic for students who are directly affected. In the name of fairness, we urgently need the implementation of equal standards for Jewish and Muslim students. Let's take a stand for equality and nonpartisan education. Please sign this petition to make a change at Mason high school.
