As a parent, community member, and a coach in our local Monroe-Woodbury Football & Cheer program for the last six years, I have witnessed an unjust phenomenon: Our program, hosting over 150 children between the ages of 5 and 13, is being discriminated against. Our plights to use the local town football field have been repeatedly dismissed, while another local football league enjoys unimpeded, sole access.

It is this gross favoritism and the denial of our children's rights to enjoy their local amenities that drove me to start this petition. In our town, every child should have the right to play on their local football field, irrespective of the league they join. The current situation, where monopoly is accepted, not only unfairly disadvantages our league but sets a worrying precedence for future town decisions.
