Demand Dismissal of Endorsement for Lee County Board Supervisor Tom Schulz

The Issue

I have personally witnessed Lee County Board Supervisor Tom Schulz demean and insult constituents. When such disgraceful behavior was questioned, Schulz not only defended his actions but also publicly promised to continue behaving so in the future. This is not in alignment with the principles of our political party or the ethical standards expected of public servants.

Supervisor Schulz has habitually overlooked the very people he swore to represent and protect. Instead of listening and responding to constituent concerns, he turns to derogatory comments and open disrespect. This alarming pattern of behavior is not unique to my observations, but echoes similarly disappointing experiences of individuals across Lee County.

His actions reflect poorly on the integrity of our political system and corrode the trust we place in our elected officials. Politicians are held to a higher standard because they represent not just themselves, but an entire community. By endorsing Schulz, the party becomes complicit in his offensive behavior, serving a blow to its reputation among the voters of Lee County.

Given this, it's essential that the party leadership reconsider the endorsement of Tom Schulz on moral and ethical grounds. By doing this, the party can uphold its credibility, restore the trust and faith people place in their elected officials, and set an example of standards for public conduct.

We, the people of Lee County, demand that the party withdraw its endorsement from Supervisor Tom Schulz immediately. This is a plea for respect, for accountability, and for a political process that truly represents its constituents. We ask you to stand with us, and join our call for restoring civility in local government. Please sign this petition to demonstrate your support.
