The attempted assassination on the leading US Presidential candidate was an affront to everything America stands for. Regardless of the series of events that led to the attack, the Secret Service completely and utterly failed to do its job. We are not a fascist nation, and we as Americans must stand up and send a strong message that we will absolutely not tolerate political violence. We must demand that Secret Service director Cheatle resign for such an egregious failure.
