Amidst the ongoing genocide campaign in Gaza, there has been a disturbing increase in dehumanizing rhetoric against Palestinians globally, particularly in the United States. During these challenging times, DePaul University has shown an alarming disregard for the safety of Palestinian students and their allies on campus. In 2014, students reprimanded DePaul University for investing in companies that contribute to this issue. We need our educational institutions to stand up against such atrocities and promote a safe environment for all students regardless of their ethnic backgrounds.

This petition calls on DePaul University to publicly acknowledge the genocide happening in Gaza. Additionally, we call on the university to review its investment portfolio thoroughly, ensuring that our tuition fees are not inadvertently funding these acts of genocide by opening the portfolio up to the public.
