As a Charles Crossing Homeowner, I am deeply affected by the recent developments and I believe it's time for us as a community to come together and voice our concerns. Over time, our Homeowners Association (HOA) fees have significantly increased, yet instead of seeing improvements in our neighborhood, amenities are being removed or completely restricted. This disenfranchisement goes against the community-centric values that Charles Crossing once prided itself upon.

Many of us have responded to this by withholding our dues. According to a recent newsletter, over half of Charles Crossing homeowners have not paid their HOA fees. This situation has become so dire that vendor contracts may soon be canceled and foreclosure processes may begin. This is an alarming development considering the presumably heavy financial constraints homeowners are under due to the escalating HOA fees.

The purpose of our fees is to improve our community. Our fees have increased but no improvements have been made within our community. It's unjustifiable to demand more money from homeowners while simultaneously reducing the benefits and amenities that our fees are meant to fund. Let's unite and demand transparency and value from our HOA. We urge the Charles Crossing Homeowners Association to suspend the HOA fees until our collective needs as a community are fully met.
