Demand CEO Kurt Misialek to End Cruelty Towards Egg-Laying Hens at Eggland's Best

Demand CEO Kurt Misialek to End Cruelty Towards Egg-Laying Hens at Eggland's Best
The Issue
I am a proud owner of six laying hens - Ruby, Mabel, Pearl, Opal, Irene and Penny - and a rooster named Elvis. These chickens are not just farm animals; they are my family. They provide me with daily eggs that are free from chemicals and additives. Seeing their happiness has made me aware of the stark contrast in the egg industry.
Eggland's Best is one such company that profits from the suffering of hens like mine. The use of battery cages is not only inhumane but also leads to severe health issues for these birds. According to Compassion in World Farming, caged hens live their lives on less space than an A4 sheet of paper (source: Compassion in World Farming).
Multiple hens are often packed into one battery cage, defecating on each other and spreading infection. Deceased hens are often left to rot in the cage with other living hens. Hens are brutally slaughtered and murdered as soon as they stop laying eggs.
Furthermore, it's not just about animal cruelty; it's about consumer health too. Studies have shown that eggs from caged hens have more cholesterol and fat than those from pasture-raised ones (source: Mother Earth News). The porous surfaces of these factory eggs are washed with chemical sanitizers and chemicals such as chlorine. Yes, these chemicals sink into the porous surface of the eggs we eat. Yuck. (Source: Ethical Foods)
Store bought eggs from egg companies such as Egglands Best can typically be up to 40 days old by the time they reach store shelves.
I call upon Kurt Misialek, CEO of Eggland’s Best, to put an end to all of his cruel hen practices immediately! It’s time we prioritize animal welfare over profit margins.
Please join me to help raise enough awareness to shut down these huge and evil companies such as Eggland's best! This in turn will encourage people to get eggs from ethical sources and hens who live a GOOD LIFE ON A FARM! Please go to EGGLANDSWORST.com for more information!
