The Issue

When someone with a platform as big as Alex Cooper’s speaks out, it’s not just brave—it’s a wake-up call.

Alex Cooper, the creator and host of Call Her Daddy, is one of the most influential voices in podcasting today. Her show has topped Spotify charts and sparked conversations about everything from relationships to mental health. But in a recent episode, Alex shared something deeply personal: She experienced sexual harassment as a Division I soccer player at Boston University. She specifically named her former coach, Nancy Feldman, as the person who made inappropriate comments and created a toxic environment.

This isn’t just about one coach. It’s about a culture where young women are told to stay quiet or risk their future. Boston University has a responsibility—not only to protect its current students, but to reckon with harm from the past. Ignoring these allegations sends a dangerous message: that those in power can act without accountability, even within programs that are supposed to shape and support young people.

We’re asking BU to launch a full, transparent investigation into the allegations against Nancy Feldman, and to provide a clear public report of their findings. It’s time for the university to take a stand for student-athletes’ safety and dignity—past and present.

Students, alumni, and the wider public deserve to know the truth. Boston University must do better.
