Demand BRSK to Remove Newly Installed Telegraph Poles on Bankside Lane & connected streets

The Issue

We are privileged to live in Bacup, a picturesque part of the UK, where in many areas, scenic beauty forms the backdrop of our lives. Recently, to our total surprise and angst, BRSK has installed a swath of telegraph poles on Bankside Lane, Rooley View and Bankside Close without notifying us. This alteration not only mars the visual appeal of our neighbourhood but also poses a potential hazard due to the strong winds we frequently encounter. These poles, straddled with wires, are obtrusive and unnecessary given the numerous broadband providers we already have available to us, including fibre broadband.

Furthermore, there is evidence to suggest that telegraph poles could have an adverse impact on property prices, posing a potential financial blow to the residents (UK Telecom Infrastructure Report, 2020).

This carelessness from BRSK showcases a broader disregard for the well-being of local inhabitants and our right to an undisturbed and beautiful living space. By imposing this unwanted structure on us, our rights as residents are enormously impacted. We demand that BRSK immediately cease further installation projects in our area and remove the poles they've already installed.

Encourage the maintaining of our neighbourhood's beauty and integrity, as well as upholding our rights as residents by signing this petition. With your support, we can show BRSK and similar companies that our consent, safety, and the aesthetic integrity of our homes is not negotiable. Your voice counts! Please help us and sign the petition today.
