Demand Biological Parents of Adopted Children rights to be apart of their lives

Demand Biological Parents of Adopted Children rights to be apart of their lives
The Issue
Charles Argust-Amante is a father and his plea is from Newcastle, CA. I am a biological parent whose rights were terminated when my only son who was detained by social services and ended with my son being adopted and the courts severing my parental rights involuntarily as they were terminated to free him for adoption which is the preference of the dependency scheme. Despite the adoption of my one and only biological son, who as a parents who had alleviated the causes and concerns that warranted his removal from my care it has left me with no way to see my son or be apart of his life. I believe that parents should have the right to be part of their child's life post adoption for the child’s benefit as it’s in their best interest to have the support, love and guidance of many to assist them through life's challenges as to their biological family to avoid the many pitfalls that affect adopted children overall. Adopted children do not stop being apart of the biological family just because they are adopted, even if they are an infant which is incorrect and foolish of those who do think or believe that is the case. When children are adopted they are still part of it their bio parents family as they have and share traits, genealogy and DNA. These traits are still apart of an adopted child and to help an adopted child overcome the effects and negative consequences of adoption it is best to have biological as well as adopted parents be apart of a child’s life. Overall it’s in a child best interest to have some form of relationship with their biological parents and family who can assist and help a child overcome the many pitfalls and issues that can arise from such. This is not just my personal story; it echoes the wide sentiments of many other biological parents who have been separated from their children due to adoption via parental rights termination as it is considered the death penalty of juvenile dependency case and the equivalent of it being 18 to life. Now Statistics show that 97 percent of children adopted reunite with their biological families after they are 18 as unless allowed by the adoptive parents before 18, which is the earliest age a child can seek out and find their biological parent's. It is for all adopted children as well to have the same rights as stated within this petition just as parents do. Scientifically it has been proven that successful and healthy children thrive the most when cared for by thier birth parents. To be part of the minors life since it is in the child’s best interest to include biological parents in a child’s life. Despite the awkwardness and uncomfortable and strange feelings that may be invoked or brought up by the adopted family and bio family it’s in a child best interest to have their mothers and fathers' part of their lives.
adoption
Adoption can provide wonderful opportunities for children in need, but it also comes with its own set of challenges. Studies show that 30% of our prisons are populated by former foster kids and adoptees (source: American Bar Association). This statistic not only underscores the importance of maintaining ties between adopted children and their biological families. Its best to include them whenever possible to avoid the many pitfalls that can occur which leave a child wondering why they were not good enough to be with their bio parents or allowed to be raised by them leaving them with a sense of loss at times of their identity, and history o where they come from as well. Man can struggle mentally, having low self confidence and self esteem to name a few. Many adopted children feel they are outcasts as they don’t share the same interests and traits or physical appearances.
The current laws do not recognize this crucial bond between an adopted child and his or her biological family. It in the best interest of the minor and child as to why We need legislation that respects both adoptive and biological parents' roles in nurturing an adopted child's well-being overall.
I miss my son more than words can express - he got all the best parts of me. Yet this petition isn't just about me; it’s about all those parents longing to be there for their children when needed most - regardless of if they are biologically theirs or not.
Despite how the agency and social workers try to spin and control many aspects of a case I can assure this, There is no limit to how much love a child can receive or give in return. It’s time we acknowledge this by changing our laws to reflect what truly serves a child’s best interest – love from all corners, including those from where they originated biologically.
Please sign this petition today because every parent deserves the right to contribute positively towards their child's life journey – whether they are adoptive or biological parents. Adopted families and biological families give adopted children an infinite amount of support and love and child as they can never receive enough love and support with lots to go around for all involved in a child’s life. I Appreciate your time in this matter and ask you to sign this petition as to the best interest child and rights of biological birth parents. Please and Ty Charles c argust
