My name is Alexsandra Lasalde, a single mother and resident of Goldelm at Charter Pointe in Altamonte Springs, Florida. I am writing this petition on behalf of myself and fellow residents who are suffering from the deplorable living conditions in our complex. We have been subjected to negligence, incompetence, and unethical behavior by the staff ranging from leasing to maintenance.

Since moving into my apartment in November 2023, I have been battling with mold issues in my bathroom. Despite four attempts by the management to rectify this issue, each has failed miserably leaving me and my one-year-old child exposed to toxic mold continuously. A legitimate mold report was presented to them but it was simply brushed off.

On April 3rd of this year, there was a tragic fire in our community which caused a death of a young boy. There are no sprinklers in any of the units, no working smoke detectors in the units which is a huge safety hazard. 

The disregard for tenant safety is further highlighted by the high turnover rate of staff members - three different property managers since my move-in date alone! This lack of stability within the management team only exacerbates our concerns about our wellbeing.

Our experiences are not isolated incidents but rather a pattern that can be corroborated by numerous complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau against Goldelm at Charter Pointe.

We demand immediate action from higher authorities or relevant bodies to inspect these premises for health hazards and enforce necessary improvements for safe living conditions. We also call for an ethical review into their business practices as they relate to tenant rights and privacy.
