Born in 1982, I became the first baby identified without a thyroid gland via the neo natal heel prick test. Yet, the National Health Service (NHS) missed diagnosing a rare genetic condition I possess - hypertrichosis. When I sought answers, they played the mental health card against me, with no medical history or examinations done to support their erroneous diagnosis.

My life has been irreconcilably damaged by this NHS negligence. My job, my career, my academic qualifications - all lost in the process. I was sectioned repeatedly, an insidious way to silence me. Even illegal measures were taken to revoke my driving license, further isolating me from society.

I am crying out for justice and for my life to be restored. The consultants at Fairfield General Hospital who are responsible for this medical malpractice must face scrutiny for their actions. An investigation must take place to reveal the truth behind their illegal diagnosis and the complete disregard for my genuine medical condition.

The damage inflicted on me and my life is irreparable, but we can prevent such an occurrence from happening to anyone else.
