Demand an Internal Review of WSNB for Alleged Illegal Activities
The Issue
This petition is deeply personal to us. We have witnessed the devastating impact of unfair and unethical treatment on injured workers. One such worker, a friend, tragically took his own life after his medical evidence was allegedly hidden by WorkSafe New Brunswick (WSNB). Furthermore, a senior staff member who refused to participate in this alleged concealment was reportedly dismissed from her position.
We are calling upon the Ombudsman and the Government of New Brunswick to conduct an internal review of WSNB's operations. There are serious allegations that this organization has been directing its staff to hide crucial medical evidence from the appeals tribunal - a practice that is not only unethical but also illegal.
In 2019 alone, there were over 26,000 reported workplace injuries in New Brunswick (source: Association of Workers' Compensation Boards of Canada). Each one represents someone whose life could be dramatically affected by such practices if these allegations prove true.
The people of New Brunswick deserve transparency and justice. Injured workers should be treated fairly and ethically. It's time for us to stand up against these alleged illegal activities within WSNB.
Please sign this petition today – demand justice for our injured workers and accountability from those who have allegedly failed them.
