Demand an Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza and Stop Genocide in Palestine
The Issue
This petition is deeply personal to me as I stand with Palestine, a nation that has endured immense suffering. Too many Palestinians have been killed, among them innocent, beautiful children. Israel's actions have led me to view it as a country engaging in acts of terror. Palestine belongs to Palestinians and the ongoing massacre in Gaza and West Bank must be halted immediately.
The collective punishment being meted out is not only unjust but also against international law. According to the Geneva Conventions, collective punishments are a war crime - Article 33 states that "No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed." Yet we see this principle being violated daily.
As of May 2021, according to data from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), at least 242 Palestinians were killed during hostilities, including 66 children. These numbers are more than just statistics; they represent lives cut short and families torn apart.
We cannot stand by while these atrocities continue unchecked. We call on world leaders and human rights organizations worldwide to intervene immediately – demand a ceasefire in Gaza, stop genocide in Palestine, hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
Please sign this petition today – your voice can make a difference! Let us unite against injustice and fight for peace and freedom for all Palestinians!
