We call on Royal Holloway University to issue a formal apology for allowing BAE Systems, a company with a long history of controversy and corruption, to advertise their graduate program on campus. The university prides itself on being inclusive and diverse, yet by welcoming this weapons manufacturer, it contradicts its own values. Many students at the university have been directly or indirectly affected by the actions of this company - through impacts on their families, cultures or countries of origin.

BAE Systems has been involved in numerous scandals over the years. For instance, they were fined $400 million by the U.S Department of Justice in 2010 for false statements and accounting practices (source: U.S Department of Justice). This is not just about advertising; it's about what we as a community stand for.
