Demand accountability reforms and transparency after system failures
The Issue
- Title:
Demand for Accountability, Examination Reforms, and Transparency After Examination Failures
Petition addressed to:
The Hon'ble Prime Minister of India,
The Ministry of Education, Government of India,
The National Testing Agency (NTA)
Description:
We, the concerned students, parents, and citizens of India, wish to express our deep concern regarding the recent examination-related controversies, including allegations of paper leaks, failures in examination management, and the distress caused to students and their families.
Millions of students dedicate years of hard work preparing for competitive examinations. Any failure that affects the fairness and credibility of these examinations damages the trust of students and creates immense emotional and academic pressure.
We demand the following:
1. Accountability from the leadership of the education system, including the resignation of the Education Minister as a step towards restoring public confidence.
2. Complete restructuring of the National Testing Agency (NTA) from its foundation, with stronger security systems, independent oversight, transparent procedures, and strict measures to prevent future examination failures.
3. A public apology from the Government of India to students and families affected by these incidents, acknowledging their concerns and assuring meaningful reforms.
4. An independent investigation into allegations regarding the handling of student protests and police actions, ensuring that any misuse of authority is examined and accountability is established.
Students are the future of this country. They deserve an examination system that is fair, transparent, secure, and worthy of their trust.
We request immediate action and meaningful reforms to protect the rights and future of students across India.
