​We, the students  of Desert Vista, are calling for the immediate removal of Darcy Boggs from her position as Athletic Director and the cancellation of her transition to Academic Director, while demanding the immediate reinstatement of Evelyn Tocco as Head Athletic Trainer. The culture under Ms. Boggs’ leadership has devolved into one of intimidation and neglect, marked by a consistent pattern of professional misconduct. We have documented instances of Ms. Boggs remaining in her office or arriving 5 to 20 minutes late to events where her presence is required for safety compliance, as well as chronic inattentiveness due to personal phone calls during active gameplay. Most distressingly, there is a deep concern regarding her treatment of the student body; we have seen a rise in harassing behavior and a culture of intimidation directed at both staff and students, creating an environment where athletes feel targeted rather than supported. This behavior, combined with the unjust removal of a trusted mentor like Evelyn Tocco, has compromised student safety and decimated school morale. We demand that the District prioritize student well-being and professional integrity by relieving Ms. Boggs of her duties and bringing Evelyn Tocco back to the sidelines where she belongs.
