The Issue

Who killed Marshall Price?

As a former nurse turned kratom and pain advocate, I have personally witnessed the life-saving potential of the kratom plant. Yet, in some states like Arkansas, outdated science and misinformation continue to criminalize its use. This has led to tragic outcomes such as the case of Marshall Price.

** It is very important to note that legislation and laws about kratom are not well known or advertised. The only way to know about these laws and the criminalization put into place is to actively research them. The majority of Americans do not read legislation or stay informed about new federal, state, and local laws and find themselves unwittingly in the crosshairs of law enforcement. **

Marshall Price was unconstitutionally incarcerated in the state of Arkansas over a victimless "crime." He was handed a 10-year prison sentence over kratom possession. Kratom is a tea leaf from Southeast Asia, safely consumed for its therapeutic benefits for centuries, as well as by millions of Americans every day. The tea leaf was legally purchased in a neighboring state very close to Mr. Price's home. While under state care in the Arkansas prison, Mr. Price suffered significant injuries leading to his death.

The seemingly gross negligence and lack of care provided by the jailers, Turn Key Health, and Nurse Bailey Crocker were an integral component in the death of Mr. Marshal Price.

Please watch the video provided in the links below to form your own opinion on this matter. The evidence is both graphic and damaging.

Marshall Price's story was published by investigative journalists Valerie Bauman and Eric Ferkenhoff. Their report was published in Newsweek.

Newsweek:

Part One: How a brutal death esposes Arkansas punishing justice system.

Part Two: Who killed Marshall Price?

Marshall's story is not an isolated incident but a glaring example of how our system fails those who seek alternative paths to pain management and addiction recovery.

Kratom is legal in most states across America. It's time we challenge these misinformed laws in the hand full of states that infringe upon medical freedom and bodily autonomy.

We need your support to bring justice and closure to the family of Marshall Price, holding accountable Turn Key Health and the nurses they employ. It is so important that we advocate not only for Marshall, but also for others who have been unjustly penalized due to outdated kratom science and personal interest agendas.

Together we must demand policy reform that respects individual rights to medical freedom and bodily autonomy in regard to consuming kratom and other natural remedies. We must plea for healthcare reform in state prisons like that of Arkansas.

I ask that you additionally send a comment and testimony supporting the Federal Kratom Consumer Protection Act by visiting protectkratom.org
