Demand Accountability from Royal Air Maroc for Lost Luggage and Poor Customer Service
The Issue
On January 10th, 2024, I was one of the many passengers who flew with Air Morocco from Freetown to Casablanca then Washington. Upon arrival, it was discovered that over 90% of us had missing luggage. We spent more than three hours at the airport filing claims, only to find out later that the customer care number provided by the Air Maroc staff was incorrect.
This is not an isolated incident but a recurring issue with this airline. Passengers are consistently exposed to scammers who exploit these situations by offering false refunds. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customers' needs not only disrupts plans and events but also tarnishes the reputation of international air travel.
Air Maroc continues to operate internationally despite these ongoing issues, showing a blatant disregard for passenger rights and industry standards. It is time we demand accountability from this airline.
We call upon aviation authorities worldwide to investigate these practices by Air Maroc thoroughly and take necessary actions if they continue failing their passengers in such a fundamental way.
