My family and I have been victims of a property management company's complete disregard for upholding a healthy and safe community. We were forced into homelessness while they conducted restorations on our home due to severe mold damage caused by a prior sewer leak. This is not just our story, but the story of many families in Reno, NV who have suffered similar fates. Due to their negligence my children and I have had our entire life flipped upside down , with no hope in sight without the help of the community. I am a single mother born and raised in Reno I am doing my best to be a good mother and financially support our house of three .i Will not give up on our rights and I will not be silenced until a change is made 

Property management companies are responsible for maintaining the safety and health standards of their properties. When they fail to do so, it is the tenants who suffer most. In 2019 alone, there were over 1,000 complaints filed against property management companies in Nevada (source: Nevada Real Estate Division). This number has likely increased since then due to the pandemic.

We demand that these companies be held accountable for their negligence. They should be required to provide alternative housing during restoration works and compensate tenants for any damages or inconveniences caused by their failure to maintain properties properly.
