Demand accountability from our PALs board

Demand accountability from our PALs board
The Issue
As a dedicated parent and coach, I've been part of PALs for several years, pouring my heart into our children's development both on and off the field. Over the last five years, I've had the privilege to coach multiple sports, and for the past seven years, I've entrusted my children to this organization. Recent incidents involving the PALs Executive Board have shattered the trust I've built with the organization.
The PALs Board, meant to uphold and support the values and integrity of our community, has repeatedly fallen short of its responsibilities under the leadership of the current Executive Board. Through several observations, it has become clear that the Executive Board is not willing to provide consistent, honest, and fair leadership or guidance. In recent times, we've seen a disturbing lack of care and an unwillingness to listen to the concerns brought forth by dedicated members of our community, including direct violations of Article 13, Section 6 of the organizational bylaws when official complaints are not reported to the general board after having been received by the Executive Board. As such, decisions are being made that don't reflect the expressed interests of parents, children, volunteers who form the backbone of PALs, or even other members of the General Board.
Additionally, there have been inappropriate removals of funds, creating an environment where controversy, unnecessary panic, and drama overshadow the mission. The Executive Board's decisions have stirred mistrust, dampened spirits, and created division across a once-cohesive group, and have sprouted an environment where other board members have openly expressed fear of retaliation for speaking up. Their refusal to take accountability for unethical behavior, blatant disregard of process, and unwillingness to enact necessary changes for transparency and improvement leaves us, the community, with no choice but to ask for a much-needed overhaul.
This is why we're asking for the resignation of the current PALs Executive Board members, so they may be replaced by individuals genuinely committed to leadership that can rebuild trust and foster a nurturing environment for our children.
Together, we can restore our trust in PALs by choosing leaders who prioritize the needs of our community over personal agendas. Sign this petition to call for immediate action and the restructuring of the PALs Executive Board. It's time to bring accountability, transparency, and respect back to PALs, to ensure a positive experience for our children now and in the future.
By signing this petition, you are advocating for a new beginning for PALs—one that aligns with the values we hold dear as parents, coaches, and community members. Join us in demanding the change our community so urgently needs. Let's stand together for our kids' sake and for the betterment of PALs.
